She focuses on gesso and acrylic paint and uses layering in her work and exploring the different faces of women. “I am particularly intrigued by women and how they are perceived by the dictates of society. I love layering with gesso and acrylics. Over and over and over again. I prefer the raw and unfinished aesthetic, as I believe that this is the playland of the Soul. I have no expectations when I create. This is pure exploration. It is creating something that comes from something bigger than myself." - Teresa
