Sense of Healing: AI Data Painting A is a software-based artwork that emerges from Refik Anadol Studio’s long term research into creating meditative art based on neurological data. Commissioned for the LuisaViaRoma x UNICEF Summer Gala 2022, the work lies at the intersection of neuroscience and design to visualize fundamental questions about the architecture of the human brain with the most cutting-edge data visualizations tools available. Anadol and his team interpreted datasets of brain activities collected with EEG sensors, fMRI and DTI imagining techniques to create a multi-sensory immersive artwork and to promote mental health through art. The artist hopes that through the power of imagination, this work will support our collective healing process, as we emerge from this pandemic.
The artwork comes with an artist-signed 3D physical certificate with backup source installation files and a custom computer with software, to be shipped by the artist to the collector.
