“Welcome Home”
The story of a father who left home for a business trip and mysteriously vanishes with no warning or trace of him found.
A decade later he returns home, not as the man that left but as something else, something strange, something eerie, something inhuman. Man or monster, human or Alien… Where he was, what he’s become remains a mystery but what is known is the feeling, the void left behind not only in the lives of the people who loved him but in what remains of the shell he once called a body.
This photograph was made as an allegory for absent fathers and the alienation between them and their children when/if they finally resurface in their lives.
