TashimayaXGoodboiENMA is a collaboration between two japanese artists, breaking the borders between two completely different art forms. Tashimaya, a master of Shodō - the japanese art of calligraphy, makes traditional analog paintings on paper in his unique calligraphy style. GoodboiEnma creates digital illustrations inspired by japanese Ukiyo-e paintings combined with the vibrant colors similar to vaporwave. Together they made a collaboration trying to cross the border between their art forms. Calligraphy and illustration melt together in the superflat style home to japan. This artwork depicts the japanese Kanji for "Angel". The power, brightness and elegance of an angel are expressed in both calligraphy and illustration. The illustration is also a mix of the traditional and modern image of an angel, creating a timeless look.
