Ive known Shaun for well pushing on fifteen years, I have watched his surfing grow to extra ordinary levels, He landed this gigantic straight air with ease. Ill make up a gif to go with this... it deserves it. This image was ignored by brands and magazines. A reminder to me that while I love burning my retina's to a crisp staring straight into the sun to get this perspective, its not a career anymore and this image deserves to be on-chain in this collection showcasing my photographic legacy instead of sitting on a hard drive.

Macklyn Flynn midway through a controlled one footed aerial manoeuvre. An ethereal moment that to be honest, was created by me getting slapped in the side of the head by an annoying piece of water that gets sent from a rock located just below the ocean surface. More often that not it is hitting my right at the same moment the athlete chooses to launch. In this moment, I thank it for one of the most unique shots i've taken during my study of Flight. Macklyn is just 18 years old, one of the new generation of local surfers flying around the place.

American free surfer Jacob Szekely blasting a slob grab straight air in Western Australia. For this perspective I am documenting this moment while driving jetski at the same time tracking where Zeke was going to be. bit of a challenge to get right but looks so cool when it all comes together. Zeke is carving a name for himself in the pro surfing world authentically.

One of Australia's top freesurfers, Mikey Wright is an absolute pitbull in the ocean, this session I swam till dark with him watching him launch gigantic airs, this moment is mid rotation air reverse. Mikey is tructing his rotation and would be waiting to start spotting where he wanted to land. Really is like watching a video game.

Believe it or not, I was perfectly safe here. Created on my first surf industry photography assignment for Surfer Magazine in 2017, Josh's momentum and rotation meant that by the time he was landing down i was a solid metre plus away... which for me is plenty. There is somewhat of a dance that you play in the lineup and in the moment as the wave and athlete are coming together. Anticipation and reading of their movement and where you need to be to be safe all just happen. A favourite image of mine that I though id lost the high resolution file after a hard drive failure.

John John Florence (or just John) Is basically the best surfer Ive ever seen in person. He is on a different level. Will go down as one of the greatest ever. Watching him surf is like watching someone with the most control of a surfboard you've ever seen.
