The Snake Witch is the guardian of forbidden realms. He stands at the door between this world and another, his eye piercing, his snakes venomous, his runes a potent magic.
This piece was created for Bill Elis' 2022 art contest, and was created entirely on a mobile phone, using Bill's original image assets, purchased snake assets, and runes from an old Gotland, Sweden runestone. The runestone is commonly referred to as the snake witch because of the motif carved in the stone. This, combined with the snakes used, gave rise to the piece's title.
