The honor of creating a multi-generational portrait for the Oyxabaten tribe is immense. The intent was to show how grandfather, father and son together hold the honor of the tribe and lands they have inhabited for over 500 Years. If he were alive, Ubaraja would be 99 years old. Born in 1923, he was one of the main leaders and warriors of his people, also founder of Aldeia Linha 9, strategically implanted to defend the territory. The front of the portrait shows the wisdom and strength of the tribal leaders. As you turn around to the back of the portrait you see the tribal family who together thrive.
