The slumbering giant has not awoken for twelve centuries. The people of this land live side by side with the gigantic beast, leaving offerings at magical shrines and administer belly scratches with huge, long wire brushes when it starts to stir in its state of sleep. Other oversized creatures have arrived at the island as of late seeking sanctuary from the harsh treatment of the humans on the mainland with their greedy, destructive way of life.
