As an expert in the field of Astronautics, Derin Pollux has long been a prominent name amongst the ranks of the Doctors, and now uses that influence to help steer the focus of their primate liberation efforts. Having been raised up in the Pioneer caste of Apskellion Space Apes, Derin retired from the galactic frontier to perform good deeds with the Doctors and joined the expedition to free the primates of Earth. Now, as their mission leads them to Earth, Derin and the Doctors will attempt to put their skills and education to work as best they can for the sake of the primates there.
