BlockBar proudly presents a stunning Karuizawa release from independent bottler Samaroli, featuring some of the legendary Japanese distillery’s final stocks. The Karuizawa 1999-2000 Double Vintage Unique Cuvee, a Samaroli 55th anniversary edition, is a rare vatting of whiskies filled into first-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads during those key years. It was then transferred to Scotland ahead of a finish in ex-Caol Ila PX sherry casks. Finally, it was bottled at 56.5% ABV in 2023. Limited to 122 numbered bottles, with 10 available on BlockBar (each bottle number matches the lot number), this release includes a hand-blown glass decanter by Murano craftsman Simone Cenedese. Each bottle, housed in an olive tree wooden box, features a label with 24k gold foil and a silk tissue.
