Letting go of feelings of constraint & just going for it.
Letting my emotions flow onto the page without that intense focus on the fine detail of a physical subject. It can be messy but, so can my head and getting these feelings out is an amazing release. Feelings come alive on the page and intertwining glitch with paint layers brings new energy, new excitement. There was a time I wouldn’t have the confidence to share myself expressing in this way. Everything had to have so much control. Of course, me being me, I couldn’t go without any control at all, so I’m letting go 95% because I created colour palette standardisation. Each series of 10 pieces will use the same primary colour palette and a single unique gradient colour.
This piece is letting go #6 from the first series of 10. The primary colour palette is warmth and the unique gradient colour is greyscale.
