Bob's Diner was one of the few landmarks to survive the vertical expansion of Xenith City; however, after a relentless rise in inflation and global shortages of non-synthetic ingredients, the diner was forced to shut down, leaving the building abandoned for years on end. That is, until a peculiar individual going by the name “Slob" purchased the establishment years later and brought it back into business. He promised excellent food and a newly renovated building; however, Slob's renovations to the building were nothing more than wiping dust off the surface and slapping cheap neon replacements over the fallen neon letter B, thus dubbing it, "Slob's Diner". Despite the crummy atmosphere and numerous health code violations, Slob's Diner is rather popular for providing cheap food, air conditioning, and a place to sit after traversing the miles of Xenith's streets.
