A Thai Lersi (Holy Man, magician, healer, and Hermit) performing a cemetery ritual to balance the 4 elements - fire, earth, air and water - to bring peace to the souls residing there, and to bless cemetery earth with fire air and water to make magical protective talisman and amulets for his followers. His following in the cemetery was of about 50 people who knelt on the wet grass facing him as he sat among the graves of dead babies and aborted fetuses, both sources of spiritual power as containing the abstract potential of lives never lived which through his hands, could still be harnessed to help the living. In return, many food offerings and offerings of clothes and toys were left at the altar.
