"Hello?" the boy called out.
There was no response.
The boy knocked on the door. "Hello? Is anyone there?"
Still no response.
The boy was about to give up when he heard a voice from the other side of the door.
"Who are you?" the voice asked.
"My name is John," the boy replied.
"What do you want?" the voice asked.
"I'm just bored and I wanted to talk to someone," John said.
"Okay," the voice said. "You can talk to me."
John was surprised, but he was also excited. He had never talked to anyone through a door before.
"So, what's your name?" John asked.
"I'm not telling you my name," the voice said.
"Why not?" John asked.
"It's a secret," the voice said.
John was disappointed, but he didn't want to push it.
"That's okay," he said. "We can still talk."
And so, the boy and the voice talked for hours. They talked about everything and anything. The boy learned that the voice was also bored and that's why he wanted to talk to someone.
