Collage/composition of multiple photographs (taken at different times) and digital work. Portraits/person images are of one of my closest friends and this piece is a love tribute to both the city I love (Copenhagen) and to this special friendship.
Same city - but many cities in one. Memories like sediment layers in the streets I walk, places I love to revisit. I meet many past versions of myself, even in the simplest walk. Memories of my own life carried in the faces and lives of people - as much as I also carry them within me. Street is not just a street, place is never just a place. It is a part of living fabric of life, of imagination, dreams, friendships and memory. We leave traces of ourselves, visible and invisible. And traces of long gone lives still resonate through the streets, buildings and people. One day too...our traces will be faint and perhaps almost imperceptible. But they would become part of the living fabric of a city that will continue to breathe, feel, love and live.
