This semi-abstract vision of the seaside cityscape of a future Dakar--algorithmically distorted from present-day street views of Mermoz--blends symbolic elements into its dreamlike vista: a towering Baobab tree, with roots deep yet unseen; a floating pyramidal structure of light, at once constant and ever-changing; along with timeless Wolof adages suffused throughout the scene.
I, the artist, dedicate this work to the Université Virtuelle du Sénégal (UVS) in the hope that one day its illustrious alumni will look back at this futuristic urban landscape and say, "Our achievements have now eclipsed this bold phantasm!"
