If the time has come for reconciliation, it is with others but also with ourselves. That is why I celebrate here the tradition of the Zangbetor.
In my culture he is a guardian, a protector who expresses himself in impressive spiritual ceremonies. Here, the dance of the Zangbetor is performed in front of a young generation that keeps today an attachment to the traditions that the historical vicissitudes could not break.
This piece is part of my celebration of the lacustrian city of Ganvié in Benin, symbolizing the permanence of our cultural and historical references, which is the only way to move forward.
