Gigi Butterfly was born in May 2022 after a special healing I received from Randall. We are both healers and one evening I went into a deep trance while Randal was working on me. During the Meditation Randall felt called to move his arms up and down like a butterfly and he was praying and imaging taking the pain and hurt he had caused me away.
I woke from this mediation and we discuss as we always do. After he shared his experience with me I got an over whelming feeling to start creating.
I had already has the idea that I was going to make Butterflies out of Leaves. A few weeks prior I had come across Oregon Grape Leaves and instantly knew they were the right ones, the first ones I was going to work with.
During the last two days before this healing Randy was really struggling with insecurities and sharing me with web3. He began to let the fear creep in and the demons of his past get in the way. I was already thinking to myself earlier that day that perhaps I need to create these butterflies now to help me process what was going on, so when he shared with me about his hands flapping, I knew it was the right time. He is going through a metamorphoses, he is turning a new leaf, one branch at a time.
These faces are hand made out of clay and hand painted by my IRL friend Gigi. When I began to start cutting the leaves out, it came to mind these two color combinations would work well together and then I got goose bumps. I was so serendipitous because my Art name is "Gigi Butterfly"; I was overcome with tingling all over my body. This was truth.
Now these beauties have been birthed and are giving another great story of growth and connection to spirit a voice.
