Soho Dream Process is a glimpse into the work in progress during a live VR performance. The 3D sculpture was created in front of a live audience during the first VR Performance to take place at Soho Technique by Creatress Sarai Mora. "Soho Dream" was made during Creatress' VR performance at the official launch of the AR Auction House on the night of June 22, 2022. The performance brought dance, improv, transmutation and collaboration together for an experiential happening that mixed both our physical reality and virtual reality simultaneously.
This artwork is an abstract 3D sculpture inspired by the subtle energy of the people in the space where it was created, considering the science of electromagnetic communication; each heart present at the performance was creating its own magnetic field that could be subtly affecting the overall energy of the room. The subtle vibrations created by each heart are then transmuted or translated by the artist into shapes and colors which is what makes up the final sculpture; an homage to this specific place, time and living energy of the night. This performance is also the first time an audience member broke the โ5th wallโ and spontaneously danced with Creatress.
The performance would not have been possible without the vision of Peter Calfee who gave the invitation and technical assistance by Isabel Mora and Cocolata who helped onsite.
Created in Virtual Reality using the application Gravity Sketch for Oculus Quest 2. This 3D VR native sculpture can also be experienced in Augmented Reality by the collector using a unique file type they will receive. The collector of this artwork will receive JPGs, the GLTF file and an Augmented Reality file for their personal use.
The collector will also be able to claim this extra embedded NFT within the original that will give a glimpse into the live performance, possible using the new enhance feature by Known Origin.
