Multidisciplinary artist Jessica Bizer creates work defined by a sense of fluidity and dreamy
disorientation. These multi-layered landscapes greet viewers with a sense of abundance and discovery. Driven by divergent and often contradictory narratives, her work is inspired by the persistent overlap between the real and the imaginary worlds.
Her recent projects include a residency with the New Orleans Arts Council and collaborations with Poncili Creaci贸n and the Milagros collective, the fashion label Altar and musicians such as Quintron and Eve Maret. She is a founding member of the Good Children Gallery and has been in exhibitions in New Orleans, New York and Atlanta. She has paintings in the collection of the Bennetton Corporation and the New Orleans Museum of Art. Bizer's work has appeared in Nylon Magazine, Hyperallergic, Miami New Times, and on National Public Radio's Studio 360. She is a 2009 graduate of the University of New Orleans MFA program. She lives and works in New Orleans, and is originally from St. Petersburg, FL .
