~Darkness Crept~
"There was an old man who lived down the road.
The kids all teased him, for he had no kin of his own.
He paid them no mind. Content in his ways. The children persisted, tormenting his days.
A joke gone to far one fateful night,
saw him chased to the woods in a terrible fright!
Cold and hungry, under the stars he slept. A bite in the dark... then the darkness crept.
A man no more, but “more” indeed. A hunger grew. A want. A NEED.
There was an old man who lived down the road. He died in the woods, the gossips retold.
No body was found. He's vanished away. His colorful home now faded to gray.
The kids ran him off, though he provoked no fight. Now it's they who suffer his voracious bite.
Cold and hungry, through their shadows he stepped. Massacred in the dark. Their mothers all wept.
Cruel children are no more. Wrath saw them bleed. Roused by violence, on the town he now feeds."
