This montage was inspired by handmade signs shown in Portland, Oregon during the eventful year of 2020. I walked and explored the city taking photographs to capture this historic time. Despite the isolation during this "Big Pause", it opened people up to see things with new awareness and compassion, and express themselves through signs and messages despite the closed doors.
