Today human is the crown of this world, but tomorrow or a little later, no one will remember our names. No one will be able to rationally explain our decisions or understandably look at the beliefs we hold in our lives today: conscience, honor, love and whatever else... Whoever comes after us (and I dont know if we can call him human), looking back at us through the thick of history, will show the same interest and sympathy for us as we do for some swordtail, who could have been considered the crown of evolution at the beginning of life on earth.
Perhaps our descendants will make up legends about man as a species, or invent horror stories and scare naughty children... Thousands of years on scale of the universe are just a speck of dust.
