As her thoughts wander further, she begins to see glimpses of other worlds and dimensions. She feels as though she is experiencing a kind of pareidolia, seeing meaning and significance in the patterns and shapes that swirl around her. She sees worlds within worlds, each one more extraordinary and mysterious than the last. She sees herself in these situations and these fantastical turns of events.
Despite the allure of these otherworldly visions, she cannot shake the feeling of melancholy that weighs on her. She feels as though she is trapped in a cycle of sadness and despair, unable to escape from the prison of her own thoughts. As she continues to gaze out at the city, she wonders if there is any way to break free from this cycle, other than through her imagination.
This piece was developed for the Avril 15 Fanart Competition. I took the idea of Melancholic Acid trip, and although i didn't use it in my prompts i wanted to create this idea visually. I did so by generating around 20 images, including Portraits, settings, fractals, and combining them all in procreate and then recreating these changes upscaled in photoshop.
