This painting was created immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. At the time, information on Twitter was so mixed up that I felt more lonely than connected with others. I expressed my own feelings in this painting. "This angel child is looking at a train running in her hometown." I also thought of my hometown and expressed my "loneliness-like determination" that "even if I wanted to go back, I could not go back, I had no choice but to move forward". この作品は、2011年の東日本大震災直後に描いた絵画です。当時Twitter上では情報が錯綜し、人と繋がると言うより、かえって孤独を感じてしまうような状況がありました。そんな私自身の心情を、この絵に表しました。 "この天使の子どもは、故郷を走る電車を眺めています。" 私も故郷に思いを馳せ、「帰りたくても戻れない、前に進むしかない」という「寂しさに似た覚悟」を表現しました。
