The goddess Nüwa, bored with loneliness, creates a new creature by shaping man from yellow earth with her own hands. However, over time she realizes that this process takes a very long time and that she will have to deal with it for a very long time if she wants to cover the whole Earth with people. Then she takes a rope and immerses it in the mud; then she swings this rope around. People are formed from mud drops scattered around.
