This work is part of a series titled "Fetishes" of which I have completed nearly 50 pieces in acrylic or oil on small format canvas. These are portraits in some cases or anthropomorphic figures made by accumulation of representation of elements with a double thematic dimension regarding kitsch and popular iconography and the human as an inseparable part of the community of the living. If according to recent studies there are more bacterial cells than human cells in the human body, where does what we believe we are begin and end? What is there of us in bacteria, insects and plants that we become when we pass from the happy or anguished state that we call life?
