Entheogen #9 is from a new body of work titled 'Entheogen’s'. As a video artist I am always trying to manipulate time and form into new images and experiences. I play with video footage until I start to see something so abstract it becomes a completely new form. Then I will continue to process and alter the footage until I forget what the original material was and end up with something new. This body of work is the result of this process. These still images have certain Rorschach qualities to them; where the abstractions allude and hint at something that could be familiar, or something that we want to project onto them.
Entheogen’s is a new body of work. It comprises of 25 still images (one second of footage) and a 7 minute video. Each still has been extracted from the original audio/visual work. Once all of the stills have been dropped, I will drop the unique video as a one off piece.
