I am into ancient Mesopotamian mythology and have been searching about female characters from esoteric stories and myths for a long time.
My latest work "Queen of Orientis" is representing "Tiamat", primordial goddess of the sea in Mesopotamian mythology. She is the symbol of the chaos, referred to as a female dragon and described as "the glistening one." She is a creator goddess yet the monstrous embodiment of destruction. Some sources identify her with images of a sea serpent or Leviathan. Her element is water.
I chose the name "Queen of Orientis" after I visited the museum of ancient Antakya city in Turkey. These are Caesar's words which are written on the wall with Roman capitals representing the magical Mesopotamia and the city itself.
