In the work "We Just Want to Live", a series of algorithmic guesses on human faces slowly develops.
The faces are based on the artist's hand drawn sketches, that are fed into an artificial intelligence algorithm. The results of the process are used as input into another algorithm, then a curated set are put into a third, gradually increasing the distance from the manual input, making the result more and more algorithmic and digital. In the final video work, the algorithmic personas seems to stretch and gasp for breath, trying to wake up from their algorithmic sleep and finally reach real life.
They just want to live, and doesn't we all?
