In Dreamtime the will for togetherness stirs and the people of the world gather as one. A moment when all awaken to the Life beneath their feet, the fires within their hearts and the understanding of all Life is Sacred...a song of one love is sung as the stars listen and turtle island carries us.
Inspired by my Lakota teachings and my heart that has always felt the Love of Mother Earth. This piece is created to invoke and ignite the wonder of the unseen and natural worlds which intertwine.
There are seven tipis which represent the four directions, Mother Earth, Creator and the heart (or center).
The tree of Life is the gathering place bringing all together teaching about roots and community.
The Dreamtime birds bear witness to the gathering and carry the song and Prayers up to the Creator.
The four elements are represented by the sun, ocean, birds in flight and the world upon the turtle.
The rock art is a reminder to us how old the language of art is and that it's always been present in the hearts of people. The urge to communicate, to tell stories and document moments. It's also a reminder to us about what we leave behind for future generations.
Most importantly is the hope this piece brings something positive and beautiful into the world.
