This work was initiated by digitising an original London cityscape painting in mixed media on sheet aluminium. Sunlight fragments upon the bold angular shapes and lines of the city, abstracting this familiar skyline and charging it with electric warmth.
To create this cityscape piece, the physical painting was digitised with a Leica M (Type 240) camera for superlative colour depth and image quality. Several images were then composited & enhanced by hand with digital painting tools, before being imbued with selective motion to create the final artwork.
