Luminara Fluorescens, from Latin 'light bearer' and 'fluorescens,' is a bioluminescent plant of genus Aurelia, cluster Aurelia Petalina. It grows 30-60 cm tall with delicate, translucent flowers showing radial symmetry, scalloped petals, and numerous stamens around a central ovary. The petals are blue-green with luminous speckling, emitting aquamarine bioluminescence (470-530 nm) from petal epidermis and anther filaments via photogenic enzymes. Its thin, flexible stems sway in the tropical rainforest canopy (15-30°C). Weighing 50-150g, it thrives in humid, shaded, dappled light. Ecologically, it attracts nocturnal pollinators like moths, aiding pollen transfer with minimal damage. Rare and protected, it is one of ten species in its cluster, uniquely adapted to canopy ecosystems.
