These sculptures, large and enigmatic, appeared to survey the world through lens-like apertures—eyes that followed no movement but the slow dance of cosmic rays and shadows. Two of them faced each other, poised in silent conversation. Observers, listeners, perhaps guardians of a truth we could only guess at.
