The Fluf With No Name

The prairie wind burned hot across his face. Remnants of his carrot ranch and burrow seared away in the blistering inferno. His brow furrowed and the hairs on his chin and ears singed in the heat. That fateful day he could not turn his eyes away, for the fire that took everything he built was locked in them forever. It's been months since anyone in the burrows last saw him. What was his name again? Nobody knew but his friends call him 'Joe'. He was last seen carving on a piece of charred wood "I will take back what's mine. I'll be back!".
