I was born in the middle of winter, when the snow was deep and the cold winds howled. My mother was a white rabbit, with soft fur and gentle eyes. She wrapped me in her warmest fur and placed me in a nest of hay, where I would be safe and protected from the cold. I grew up surrounded by my mother's love, and the peacefulness of our burrow.
