"Melting Dunes" was shot in a remote area of the Sahara in Mauritania during one of my recent expeditions. It contrasts the grandeur of the desert and dunes against the smallness of human beings. A top-down aerial perspective taken at 400 meters of relative altitude, the shot transports us into a scene of surreal proportions. The car crosses the desert as the dunes appear to almost be melting around it.
