The moments of rupture, of separation, for any reason that causes pain, leave us paralyzed in a state of melancholy. We feel that we are unable to move forward. But we must teach the body and mind that everything is ephemeral. Pain will always be there, but we must learn to fly again.
I was born in Havana, 1978. I graduated from the San Alejandro National Academy of Art in 1997. I worked as an Easel Restorer at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba, where I was fascinated with medieval painting, being a great influence for my art.
As a professional, I have always worked with figurative, symbolic and surrealist art. From drawing, physical painting and more recently 2D and 3D digital art, I have taken my style on a path that has been maturing over the years. My works are almost always starred by female or androgynous figures, accompanied by animals, fantasy and symbols through which I try to tell stories, moments, always related to the deepest human feelings.
