When I was a kid, my grandparents bought me my first Nintendo for Christmas. It was the original NES, and Iād wanted one for a very long time. Getting one was a landmark in my little life back then. It basically ruled my entertainment, and I spent many hours playing Super Mario Bros on it.
One night when I was asleep, I woke up to find my grandfather playing it. I laid in bed quietly and watched him. His eager face lit in profile by the TV screen ā he was obsessed too.
With Right-Click Dream, I wanted to capture that same feeling. That when youāre into something, no matter how self-contained you think you are in it, your parents are always watching you. They want to know your desires and sacrifices, and even want to share them with you. And if you donāt show it to them, they will come and find them. Right-Click Dream is also part of my continued exploration of Sartoshiās characters and world, which have been a great source of inspiration and opportunity for me as an artist (thank you, mfer).
I encourage you to not just buy this piece and hide it in your vault. Print it out and tape it to your wall. If you can print it out on a napkin, even better. And most of all, share it with your mom and dad. The drawing is yours now, so show them what youāve been up to. Let them laugh at the shape of āDadāsā head and ask you what a CryptoPunk is. Bring them in and let them right-click save your words and experiences in NFTs.
