An Observation made within Sam Spratt's "IX. The Monument Game" - It is the observer, not life, that art truly mirrors. Only through observation can art take on a life of its own. When viewed through many eyes, there are myriad opinions to be gleaned in service of furthering the arts. Ultimately, we find true meaning through the varied perspectives of the collective and the artist’s intent becomes an afterthought, lost to the perversions of public opinion. It is Consensus that dictates the rules and defines what is possible in this new world.
