When we gaze at the sky and see a star, we are actually witnessing the present moment. However, that star may have existed millions of years ago, and what we see is its past. The present moment, or "genzai," holds a different definition for each of us. It can be a moment that is defined as either the past or the future. We are capable of experiencing over 250 different emotions in life, and at any given "genzai," our minds are engaged with several of these emotions. It is these emotional experiences that shape our moments.
Each "genzai," we are confronted with a unique set of emotions. Our "genzai" may be defined in the present but rooted in the past, or it may be a projection into the future. Art can serve as a powerful medium to express and convey these "genzai" experiences. Artists can showcase rich emotions and concepts through their works, employing colors, lines, forms, and compositions to transmit their "genzai" to the audience.
