7 Pixel Army is a Generative art collection based on the iconic White Stripes - 7 Nation Army music video, directed by Alex Courtes and Martin Fougerol from 2003.
While developing LUTs for a color grading project in 2016, I ran this video through a number of processes to simplify the color palettes for analysis. Isolating the mean color data from the deviations of details and noise to extract just the aesthetic spectrum from the video. Loving the effect so much, I ran it through the process a number more times, layering and tweaking the results to get this distilled beauty of choreographed pixels.
