"Downtown had never felt so blue. He felt the shades of it drifting past him. It was impossible to escape. The glint of sunshine pool swam with religious iconography. Painted madonnas threatened to steal his heart every single day. His memories of London felt as plastic as his broken sunnies. This new version of himself was like a bad cover track. The real song always wanted to be played. On this bright airbrushed day, the only track he knew was Downtown Blue."
