These are shattered and recomposed pixelblocks taken from baroque works. Just as contemporary mindsets are comprised of digested and re-crystallized bits of the past, these shapes are pieced together from jumbles and particles of things that came before.
These are only, however, fragments of that worldview gone by - shreds and flavors of a way of thinking that doesn't exist anymore and yet bubbles back up into shapes that feel as solid as anything.
