Dragonflies are used in many cultures to teach children about the stages of life, including the transition stage from life to death. When a dragonfly enters your home it’s said to be one of your ancestors visiting you.
Cattail flowers represent peace, and when given as a gift signifies a peace offering or white flag. Cattails grow in swampy lands, in marshy water, usually around lakes or rivers and you will often see them near lotus flowers.
The pink lotus represents the path of enlightenment. A closed bulb is the first stage, and as the buds open further so does the mind. A pink lotus in full bloom represents full enlightenment.
Poison dart frogs are both dazzling and dangerous. They symbolize transformation, adaptability, resilience, and rebirth. They represent the full life cycle, as they transform from tadpole to frog. The bright hues symbolize life force and energy, while the toxins represent death and danger. Handling them can be harmful or hurtful, and could lead to either good or bad fortune.
This piece reminds us that life is forever changing, and that appreciating the moment is what truly matters.
