A collaboration between Stelcart and Suryanto (superrare.co/suryanto), Julius Caesar was the starting point for the 2-piece series, and set the conceptual tone of the project. Julius Caesar finds himself surrounded by heroes and villains, both real and fictional, most of whom are simultaneously adored and loathed depending on who you ask. There is also an element of the surreal and the illogical present, which was a follow-on from the unlikely idea of Julius Caesar catching his own dinner. The main character of this piece was created by Suryanto, in his unmistakable, abstract, street art style. The rest of the piece, including the animations, were added by Stelcart, in a style that is becoming recognizable the more we see from her. Details not to be missed are the Whitehouse on a 1960's TV set and portraits of Ru Paul, Medusa, and Rasputin among others flashing on the picket sign.
This piece is one half of a pair, the other being Cleopatra, tokenized by Suryanto. Both artworks are the first ever NFT collaborations by both artists.
