Patient 02 from the series “The Patient” (2021). Countless people have reminded us that work is only a part of life. Still, it is only private life that is abandoned. Many complain about work, yet it is the axis of our lives. Stress is everywhere and life is uninteresting, but as soon as one stops working, one starts to desperately try to get back. Like a loop, it never ends. Being consumed by work seems to be the only meaningful way of life. “The Patient” series is reflecting on the role of a modern work environment and how it impacts our life, using ironic visuals to depict imagined morbid scenarios unfolding itself in what could appear as a normal workplace. The main goal of this series is to allow people to sit down and think whether our life really exist only for work, and how we can live more like a person than a machine.
