They were thought to have governed the sacred Binary (life world - 1 death world - 0) for thousands of years, birthing it’s creation back when they were still just flesh and bone. The creation of the Binary came at a dark time for their first planet, sadly their technological advancements could not save them from themselves, thus sparking a metaverse revolution. Thousands upon thousands transcended into ‘1’ through virtual reality headpieces, where they would live out the rest of their days, till ‘0’. Over thousands of years they evolved with it. Fused with it. Atoms and electrodes mixing. Their eyes merging so they could consume more pixels. Their bodies mutating through years of radiation…. And here now they sit upon the charred rocks of their former world. Broken apart all around them. Being scavenged by distant species.
