There are 9 layers in Manifesto of Chance. In each layer there are 18 unique states. 18 to the power of 9 is over 198 billion combinations.
At one extreme each work is very unique and at the other end, billions of combinations are lost to chance.
Loosely inspired by Andre Breton's Manifesto of Surrealism (1924), Manifesto of Chance is a statement on what is real. Life is a singular event that is experienced now when all the other possibilities are cast aside. Now is important. Now is the only real. Possibilities are only figments of mental construction. Just like the other 198 billion that none of us will ever mint from this collection.
There are also 10 Legendary Editions among the 1000 Combinations. Those are not made of layers or states but are the only whole images (other than 18 in 20 billion chance for the other 18) in the collection. They are named after the great surrealists of the 20th century.
Each layer is and each state is named by using words or phrases from the before mentioned Manifesto of Surrealism by Andre Breton like "Surrealism Asserts Complete Nonconformism".
For the curious, each piece of the collection holds equal rarity and yet different from the others.
