As a kid, Mabel was always a bit different from the other rabbits. She was always more interested in books than catching bugs and running around in the field. Even her fur was different, a strange grey color that some of the other kids called "zombie fur". And her eyes were even stranger, zombie eyes that seemed to stare right through you. But Mabel didn't mind, she loved who she was. As a teenager, Mabel's love for books only grew stronger. She started wearing a bowtie - gold, of course - and began to see herself as a bit of an outsider. That was fine with her though, she preferred spending her time reading and exploring the world inside her imagination anyway. It was during this time that she came up with her famous quote: "There's nothing wrong with being different - it's what makes us special." Now an adult, Mabel is still loveable old Mabel. She spends her days reading and writing stories in her cozy little home surrounded by fields of wildflowers. And every once in awhile she'll step outside to catch a glimpse of the young rabbits playing and chasing each other around - feeling thankful that she found herself early on and followed her heart instead of footprints like everyone else.
